The iPhone app for runners
Your passport for every race.
Past races with your time and a stamp, upcoming ones with date and bib number, all in one place. Forward your registration email and Abu Race fills in your passport.
- iPhone first
- Free during testing
- Android later
How it works
Three steps, no typing.
-
Forward your registration email
You get your own passport address, like yourpass@aburace.com. Forward the organizer's confirmation there and the race shows up in your passport with date, distance and bib number. If something in the email is unclear, the app asks you instead of guessing.
-
Add your result, get the stamp
After the race, add the link to the results or upload your finisher certificate. If Abu Race can clearly match you there, the race gets the “verified” stamp. Without proof, it stays “not verified”.
-
Find and plan races
Browse upcoming races as a list or on a map and save the ones you want for your season. Dates, registration status and entry fees only show up when there's a source for them.
Coming later:
- Import from Apple Health
- Stamps via QR code at the finish
- Android app
What Abu Race won't do
-
Store other people's results
From a results list, Abu Race keeps your row and nothing else. The list itself stays with the organizer.
-
Show you ads
There are no ads in the app. This website sets no cookies and doesn't track you.
-
Guess
Times, places and dates only go into your passport with a source. If nobody can back it up, it stays blank.
Where your data lives
Your account, passport and documents are stored on servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Forwarded emails are read by an AI model from a provider outside the EU. Which provider, and what it gets to see, will be in the privacy policy before launch.

Questions
What does Abu Race cost?
Testing is free. If anything costs money later, you'll know what and how much before you pay a cent.
What data does Abu Race keep?
What's in your passport: races, bib numbers, times and the proof behind them, such as emails, certificates and links. From results lists, only your own row. For the waitlist, just your address, language, role and the time you signed up. Data is stored on servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Forwarded emails are read by an AI model from a provider outside the EU; the privacy policy has the details.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. iPhone comes first and Android after that. There's no date for it yet.
Can I connect Apple Health?
Not yet. Importing from Apple Health is coming, though there's no date yet. Until then, you add races by email or results link, and by hand only when neither exists.
Do I need an account?
Only once you save your first entry. Finding races and reading race pages works without one. You sign in with a code sent by email, no password.
Where does the race information come from?
From organizers, their websites and Wikidata, always with a source and a date. Abu Race doesn't crawl registration platforms, race calendars or timing services.
How do I leave the waitlist?
Use the link at the bottom of any email from us. Your address is deleted right away.
